An Attitude of Gratitude

After 40 years of seeing God’s hand over them, seeing the sea split open, manna raining down from heaven and even the earth swallowing people right in front of them… Even after all of this the Israelites still complained, still with an ungrateful heart stood before God, asking, what will we drink? Just look at what the Lord did…

“Take the rod; and you and your brother Aaron assemble the congregation and speak to the rock in front of them, so that it will pour out its water. In this way you shall bring water for them out of the rock and let the congregation and their livestock drink [fresh water].”

Even with the doubts and all the missteps, God still provided for them, and in such a miraculous way too.

God is still the same God, the same provider. He still has all the same power to also move in our lives just as He did back then. When we look up from a valley we think, oh how great it would be to be on the hill top just for once. With God we will reach it, with God nothing is impossible and with God we sometimes just need to go towards Him with a grateful heart, realizing that even if everything does not go exactly as we have planned, His plan will always be better.

‘in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. ‘

Let’s have an attitude of gratitude, no matter what! Knowing that God is in control all we have to do is follow Him, because His plan is always better.
