It is awe inspiring to see how the Israelites would test God time and time again as if though they have completely forgotten all the things they have seen God do. God would provide food for them and right after that they would wonder yet again where will we get food, where will we get water?
This is such a perfect resemblance of how we think as humans. Could it be fear or something else entirely that keeps us from trusting God wholeheartedly? Doubt maybe? Thoughts like what will I do if God does not help me right now?
This of course is exactly what we should not be doing or thinking. We should instead remember who God is and realize that He is in control of all things, and that He is with us always. For the Israelites it could have been, “God provided for us yesterday, the day before and even the day before that, so why would He not provide for us today also?” For us it should be the same… Knowing that God will provide!
Let go of worries, fears and doubts, and look towards the one that holds tomorrow in His hands. May we be filled by the Holy Spirit and may peace reign over our lives. The peace of knowing that God Almighty is with us!
Psalms 77:11
I will [solemnly] remember the deeds of the Lord ; Yes, I will [wholeheartedly] remember Your wonders of old.
