Genesis 12:1-3 [TPT]
Now Yahweh said to Abram, “Leave it all behind — your native land, your people, your father’s household, and go to the land that I will show you. Follow me , and I will make you into a great nation. I will exceedingly bless and prosper you, and I will make you famous, so that you will be a tremendous source of blessing for others. I will bless all who bless you and curse all who curse you. And through you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”
I have heard so many modern day stories of people that has met with God and received a promise that has come to pass.
Sometimes it happens instantly but other times it takes a while. Often times there needs to be change in ourselves and a better alignment with Christ before these things “miraculously” manifests in our lives.
Without faith it is impossible to please God, and certain things requires a ton of faith from us. But, when God says it then that is the way it is. I think of it as buying a large appliance from a store, you need your item to be delivered and before they do they give you a receipt. This receipt means that you now officially own this product or this thing even though it has not yet been delivered.
When God gives a promise, you can rest peacefully knowing that His word, right then and there is was the receipt, even though this promise might not arrive immediately, it surely will arrive when the time is right!
I am speaking to myself when I say, keep the faith, trust in Him, the only true provider, and above all be patient. While actively waiting there is a boat load of things we can do. Praise, worship, read, listen, learn, depend, preach, teach and every other word that God utters. While we wait on the Lord, let’s also get as close to Him as possible.
Galatians 3:15-16 [TPT]
Beloved friends, let me use an illustration that we can all understand. Technically, when a contract is signed, it can’t be changed after it has been put into effect; it’s too late to alter the agreement. Remember the royal proclamation God spoke over Abraham and to Abraham’s child? God said that his promises were made to pass on to Abraham’s “Child,” not children. And who is this “Child?” It’s the Son of promise , Christ himself!
